Clarence S. Gonstead, D.C. 1898-1978
Legendary Chiropractic master and healer of Mnt. Horeb, Wisconsin. Took the original Palmer Technique where B.J. Palmer left it in the 1920s and continued advancing and refining it into his own unique methodology. He practiced and taught for 50 years.

Dr. Gonstead, along with his three associate Chiropractic doctors routinely saw from 300-400 patients per day at this, his third and final clinic, built in 1964, just outside Mnt. Horeb, Wisconsin. In 1965 he built a motel, the Karakahl Inn (“J” shaped building to the right and rear) to accommodate his out of town patients and Chiropractic Doctors who were there for seminars and/or Chiropractic adjustments. It also featured a restaurant, snack bar, and indoor swimming pool.
